Recurring Themes

• As I read through these books, I found the following recurring themes: Minds-on cognitive construction rather than passive knowledge transmission, the idea that learning science can be fun, magic can be an effective teaching tool, the importance or playful exploration, the limits of human perception, the nature of science, the importance of the activation and assessment of prior knowledge, and how to build a foundation for more independent learning.
