What types of technology do you see supporting skills learners need to know now for the workforce? 

• They need to be able to find and more importantly evaluate the quality of information they need to support projects they are working on. They also need to know which tool to use in a given situation. They need to develop a network to look to for collaboration. A lot can be done on a networked hand held device of some sort. As for tools, look for the best creativity and communications tools.
