Are You an Artist?

• Seth gives examples of his broad definition of art and emotional work that are the main characteristics of linchpins. On the job you need to smile, connect, take initiative, be surprising and creative. Art is anything that’s creative, passionate, and personal. It is about intent and communication. It takes courage and is a personal gift that creates change in others. Such gifts will make you rich as they come back to you. In Seth’s view, anyone can do art as part of their work. Optimism is the most important human trait and all of Seth’s artists have it. (Doug: I see my blog as the art I give freely to change others, and I feel enriched by doing it.)
