The Click Moment by Frans Johansson

Click Moments

  • Among the click moment stories Frans tells is how Microsoft was ready to kill its Windows 3.0 operating system and go with one from rival IBM. Then a chance meeting took place at a party by two programers who between them had the necessary ideas of how to fix it. Click ideas tend to occur when two separate concepts, ideas, or people with different mindsets meet. Such intersections are fertile ground for creating click moments. While they are impossible to predict, they often happen when latent hunches connect. They also often elicit an emotional response, which provides the irrationally strong desire to take the idea to the next level.
