Educational Value of Video Game Creation

• Students pick up concepts easier and retain more information when they are hands-on with their subject matter. Building games (not just playing them) teaches computer science concepts, logic, and algorithmic thinking. Creating a game is like creating a learning environment for others. In a sense is it like teaching, and as all teachers know, the best way to really learn something is to teach it to others.
