The Reading Workout: A 30-Day Plan That Turns Teenagers into Readers by Chris Beatty

Week 3

  • Again Chris cites Mark Twain: “The man who doesn’t read has no advantage over the man who can’t read.” By not working to become a good reader, you end up making life more difficult than it needs to be. In the middle of week 3, Chris wants you to spend a day reading things online. This is usually a different experience due to all the links you can click on as you read that instantly take you somewhere else. It’s also time to increase the amount of time you spend reading by at least five minutes, but if you are enjoying what you read, don’t stop there. At the end of week 3 you get to read the Sunday paper and your book on the same day.
