How to Master Your Verbal Delivery

  • Share your expertise not your ego. Self-promotion is a turn off. Speak with clear, everyday, jargon-free language as if you were talking to a sixth grader. Use complete sentences. Avoid filler words and phrases such as: like, you know, sort of, kind of, so, actually, and um. Replace these with pauses. Vary your volume, pitch, speed, and cadence for effect.
