Intense Competition

• Parents are also worried about the extreme competition in which their students are practically forced to participate. Students are sometimes made to feel that if they’re not at the very top of their class, then they aren’t going to succeed. Some of this pressure comes from state tests that are becoming more and more rigorous, and some of it comes from parents who feel that they must begin preparing their students for college when they are only in preschool.
