Brain-Powered Science Reform Your Science Program

Who is Dr. Thomas O’Brien

  • Tom started teaching science in 1977 and in 1987, joined the faculty at Binghamton University. He directs the preservice and inservice programs for graduate science teacher education. He also teaches in the school’s educational leadership program. He has written for the American Chemical Society and has been involved in professional development programs funded by the Institute of Chemical Education, the National Science Foundation, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and the New York State Education Department. He has received grants and awards from many prestigious organizations. In the spirit of full disclosure, I am proud to say he was the chair of my doctoral dissertation committee. Due to the size of these books, this post is more of a review than the summaries I usually do. If you click on the picture of the first book below, it will take you to Amazon where you can purchase all three books.
