Improving Your School One Week at a Time – Jeffrey Zoul

Listen Up!

  • Like many leadership sources, Jeff stresses the importance of active listening. Make eye contact, give your undivided attention, send nonverbal signals that show you are interested, paraphrase what you hear, and above all, don’t interrupt. This is important when listening to students and parents, and in Jeff’s case, listening to staff. He goes so far as to ask his readers to let him know if he is not following his own advice.
