Is Homeschooling the Answer? – Guest Post

More Project-Based Learning

  • Lectures and demonstrations are only one way to learn, and they are often not the most effective way to learn for most students. With homeschooling, children can be exposed to more project-based learning. By creating projects and working on the material on several different levels, students can learn the material more easily and more deeply.
  • Think about it: Would you learn more by reading about Abraham Lincoln or by writing a personal diary written from his perspective during the Civil War? Would you learn more by reading about anatomy or by dissecting a pig? For most students, project-based learning is a much more effective way to learn.
